Photo Hastings: Gang of Three

Exhibition ran from 29 Oct 2019 – 10 Nov 2019
Open evening: 1 Nov, 6.30 - 8.30pm

An exhibition by Bob Mazzer, John Cole and Brian Rybolt. Three photographers with over a century of photographic experience between them exhibit images that reflect their creative and career interests.

John Cole has worked all over the world as a professional photographer shooting assignments for major news corporations including The Sunday Times, The Observer, Newsweek and Paris Match. Recording celebrities, sporting stars and politicians and documenting the lives of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Bob Mazzer first started taking photographs at the age of 13 he continued throughout his studies in graphic design at Hornsey College of Art, and on to today, both exhibiting and publishing. He has been working for over 40 years in what is now termed as street photography.

Brian Rybolt’s work relates to the human spirit. How we go about our lives; insights and glances of life and endeavour. His work attempts to visually interpret the shapes of things and how we realise them. He sees the beauty and the decay of life, including the natural and human landscape and speaks of the emotion which resides in the shadows of our lives including our interaction with the environment about us.

Photo Hastings is a creative photographic umbrella with a self-initiated remit to develop creative and cultural opportunities for photographers in Hastings and St Leonards.
