Paul Bartholomew & Steve Johnston

Exhibition ran from 2 May 2017 – 14 May 2017
Open evening: 5 May, 6.30 - 8.30pm

Paul Bartholomew
Paul does not consider abstraction to be a deliberate break with historical art tradition. Indeed, he finds the idea that an artist could work outside of this history difficult to understand.  Rather, abstraction develops some concealed, buried or forgotten aspects within this tradition.

Steve Johnston
Steve Johnston’s current work is based on a fascination with the symbolic uses of the visual language of flowers – a language often overlooked but extensively used to mark changes in our lives.’
