Ian Barraclough

Ian worked in London as a professional graphic designer and illustrator and also taught as a senior lecturer at the University of Arts London. He now concentrates on self-directed artwork and enjoys that freedom of expression. Drawing is often the core discipline and starting point to many works.

Visitors to this exhibition should discover new and recent artwork that combine craft skills and personal viewpoint, as well as offering affordable pictures that are accessible to the public. Also styles, media and subject matter are all quite different, bringing a quirky and eclectic mixture to the gallery.

Pushing Boundaries 2021

Christine Forbes, Jan Irvine, Lucy Marks and Susan Miller are four professional artists from across Sussex who are passionate about watercolour and are keen to explode the myth that watercolours are just a sketching medium for amateurs.

This exhibition will showcase the diversity of this challenging, expressive and often overlooked medium, hopefully inspiring others to explore the unique possibilities of watercolour.

Ian Francis – Lost Horizons

This show of new work is full of big paintings that contain many small events: splashes of colour, drips of paint, and the odd hair.

Painted in strange times, these works reflect his changing mood throughout the last 18 months.

Members Show #2

Due to a cancellation we had a space in the callendar and the members were as eager as ever to step in and give us a summer show. A variety of work covering many styles, disciplines and topics. Plenty to inspire and suit the pocket.
