I have always enjoyed painting from my early childhood and want a career in this. My work is mainly based around movement and reflection. I like the idea of abstracting the landscape using colour and imagination, and breaking it down to a point that reveals a time and place. I want the viewer to have an idea of where and what the image is, but at the same time to encourage him to see or visualise more of the detail than what I present.
I like etchings and print-making, but now I mainly paint in oils. I love textures, using different ways of applying paint with different marks to resemble different things, which will help people to use their imagination when looking at my work.
I am currently studying on a Foundation Degree Course at Brighton University at Hastings and I hope to achieve a Master’s degree.
