This show features the work of eight artists from HSA,  in alphabetical order of first names. Anna Pontonutti, David Reeve, Jill Hartman, Jonathan Goddard, Lone Ormonde, Ray McChrystal, Robin Holtom and Tim Riddihough.

Statement

The Hastings Society of Artists was founded in October 2002 by a group of artists living in and around the Hastings and St Leonards area. It has grown into a collective of diverse practitioners, that expands and contracts as exhibition space and membership dictate. The inaugural show on Hastings Pier in April 2003 featured over 20 painters, printmakers, photographers, ceramicists and sculptors.

The group has studio-based meetings which encourage an exchange of ideas and technical support between the host and other members. There is no attempt to follow a creed but each member is offered feedback, advice and positive criticism. In the near future HSA plans to have travelling exhibitions on an exchange basis with other groups.
