‘I love the way the transparency of watercolour creates mystery and depth, the way that the paint has a mind of its own, responding pleasingly to the freedom I encourage.
My thoughts and the creative process take place on the paper, during the actual painting. The result may reflect my original vision, but it may, just as easily, have acquired a life of its own. It is the unpredictability of the way I work with watercolour that I find so exciting.’
