Suzie Smith
About me
I design and create unique glasswork using kiln formed glass techniques such as fusing and slumping. Some of my work includes textile elements as I am interested in combining these two areas. I produce contemporary pieces some of which are functional as well as decorative.
I have been interested in art from an early age and after studying textiles at GCSE and A-Level I went on to do a Foundation art & design diploma at Hastings College. I then did a Higher National Diploma course through Brighton University which is where I first became interested in glasswork. Following this I did a professional development course, then joined SPLASH! a local art group and now exhibit my work with them.
