About me
Ruth Wurzburger
I have a wide range of teaching experience both as a teacher and artist practitioner in school and community education settings. I have devised and delivered workshops across all age ranges; young people and those with special educational needs. This has required me to adjust projects suitable to the needs and abilities of each user group as well as being involved in the evaluation and assessment process. Projects include murals, sculpture installations and graffiti projects. A recently completed project generated by designs from school workshops that translated into perspex screen installations for the new Wakefield City Art Gallery, inspired by the contemporary nature of the building and symbolic use of colour in a public space.
Other public projects include: window pieces for a converted chapel gallery and 3 pieces for a glass corridor at 20/21 Visual Arts Centre in Scunthorpe Art Gallery. The designs for these projects have all arisen from the nature and quality of each space they have been made for, taking shape and form from the spaces they will inhabit.
