About me

The attached selection of work includes a series of coloured pencil drawings of fishing boats on the Sussex coast and several acrylic on paper paintings of boats on the Atlantic coasts of France, Spain and Portugal. He also produces these works as limited edition, fine art gicleé prints.

These works demonstrate Jeremy’s long standing interest in working boats throughout the world. He sees them through the eyes of someone who has spent a lifetime sailing and studying the boats that fishermen and other seagoing people use in their daily lives. He knows how they are built and how they perform on the sea. This knowledge informs his art and the media with which he chooses to work. Jeremy uses coloured pencil for drawings and acrylic on paper or canvas for paintings. He finds these are ideal for the high level of detail and atmosphere which he wishes to show.
