About me

James Rose worked for many years as the Environmental Projects Officer for Hastings Trust, the charity that works for the people and environment of Hastings. His love and appreciation of the coastline is reflected in his photographs. He captures those brief moments of revelation when light and shade interact to bring out the sometimes hidden beauty of our surroundings. James’ photographs demonstrate his sharp powers of observation, but much more than that: they offer the viewer a slice of our world at its most surprisingly varied and beautiful.
